Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued a Notification on 15-09-2022 in connection with Advance Pay & Allowances September 2022 and Pension Punjab. As per the Notification, the employees of the Punjab province will get their salary in advance on 30-09-2022. The pensioners of the Punjab province will also get pensions on the same date.

Why Early Pay and Pension
In the wake of 01st & 02nd October 2022 (Saturday & Sunday), being gazetted holidays, the Governor of the Punjab is pleased to approve that pay & Allowances and pension of Government employees/pensioners of Government of Punjab may be disbursed on 30th September 2022 (Friday), as provided in Note-1 below Rule 5.1 (1)(e), Punjab Finance Rules, Vol-I.
Foregoing in view, you are requested to take further necessary action accordingly for disbursement of pay & Allowance and pension on 30th September 2022 positively.
The Notification facilitates the employees and pension for one day only in advance pay and allowances as well as a pension. This will not affect the employees and pensioners. Punjab Government has also issued a Notification of Local Holiday on 17th Sep 2022 in Lahore. This is only for Lahore the local Holiday.
