Government of the Punjab, Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department issued a Notification on 23-01-2023 in connection with the Ban on Transfer Posting and All Kinds of Recruitment in the Health Department Punjab. The details are as under:
The Government of Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department issues a letter dated 23-01-2023. The purpose of the letter is to inform authorities about the ban on transfer posting. The letter informs about bans on transfers and posting. The election commission also imposes a ban on any kind of recruitment as well. The ban is temporary on the basis of upcoming elections in Pakistan. The context of the letter is here:
I am direct referring to the subject not above and to state that the Election Commission of Pakistan, Vide notification no F.no2(1) 2023 cord date 22-1-2023 has inter alia, imposed a ban on transfer/posting and all kinds of recruitment, as under:-
Not to be transferred any public official after the issuance of this notification within and from Punjab / Khyber Pakhtunkhwa without prior approval of writing of the election commission as laid down in clause 2 (f) of section 230 of the Election Act 2017.
- Ensure that all kinds of recruitment in any Ministry, Division, Department, or institution under the Provincial Governments and Local Governments of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ECP bans. These orders are with immediate effect. Provincial Public Service Commission has exemptions from this ban. Those government organizations where test interviews Commission / Departments have already conducted before this day.
- I am further directed to convey that the above-mentioned instruction of the Election Commission of Pakistan, may be adhered to in letter and spirit.

Provincial General Election 2023
The General Elections for the provinces of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa we can say are soon. Governors of these two provinces have dissolved provincial assemblies. There are chances that ECP will hold the General Election in these two provinces within three months.
