Deputy Commissioner Rahim Yar Khan in the exercise of the powers conferred upon wide notification no. SOW-(S&GAD)1-4/2028 (p-II) dated, 10th January 2023 declares 24th May 2023 (Wednesday) as a local holiday in District Rahim Yar Khan. The orders are as per the Government of Punjab service and the General Administration Department Lahore issued the said notification. For this purpose, Shakeel Ahmad Bhatti, the deputy commissioner Rahim Yar Khan declares to celebrate the local holiday in the whole district in order to celebrate the death anniversary of His Highness late Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi-V Ameer of Bahawalpur.

According to the notification, the local holiday on the university campuses will have no impact on the exam schedule. IUB Campuses in Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, and Liaqatpur will remain open. The students will take exams on the same day and time as per the schedule.
