Extension in Winter Vacations in SED, HEC Punjab
The government of Punjab Higher Education Department issues a new notification on 30th December 2023. The circular notified an extension in winter vacations in all higher education institutions. It includes public and private institutions under the jurisdiction of the higher education department in Punjab. The winter vacations are extended up to Tuesday, 9th January 2024.
Notification for Schools
The government of the Punjab school education department issued a notification to all competent authorities Regarding the extension of winter vacations. Previously according to the schedule of winter vacations, all educational institutes were supposed to open on 2nd January 2024. However due to the weather forecast about the upcoming cold wave in the province. The government of Punjab has decided to extend the winter vacation up to 9th January 2024. However, the restrictions regarding the wearing of face masks within school premises shall remain intact. For this Secretary of School Education notified all CEOs of concerned districts to ensure compliance with the orders.
Notification Extension Winter Holidays 2024 Punjab Government Colleges
The government of Punjab already announced the winter vacations from 18th December up to 1st January 2023. However, due to dense fog in certain areas of the Punjab, the government has decided to extend the number of vacations. The extreme wave of cold in the upcoming week will cover most of the areas or districts in the province of Punjab.
This dense fog causes many road accidents. To reduce these types of accidents government took this decision. All the public and private educational institutions will resume their all-educational activities from 10th January 2024.
All colleges including public and private institutions shall reopen on Wednesday 10th January 2024. The institutes will resume a full and normal week for all classes.
BS-04 years degree program however shall continue to function. Furthermore, all examinations shall be held as per the schedule of boards and universities.
