Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Elementary & Secondary Education Department issued a Notification on 26-03-2024 in connection with the Provision of Free Textbooks upto All Students of KP to Inter Level. The details are as under:
Provision Free Textbooks to All Students of KP Upto Inter Level -Collection and Re-Distribution of Old/Used Textbooks for AY 2024-2025
I am directed to refer to this department’s letter of even No. dated 21st March, 2024 on the subject noted above and to state collection of old/last year used textbooks shall be completed up to 27 March 2024 and all DEOs (Male & Female) shall furnish a certificate clearly mentioning the number of collected textbooks on 30th March 2024. The DEOs (Make & Female) are directed to receive such certificates from respective Principals, Headmaster, Headmistress, and Head teacher (Male and Female)
I am once again directed to direct you that the available (old, new) textbooks shall be re-distributed among the student on the 1st day of the commencement of the new academic year and every student shall have textbooks and teaching-learning activity shall be commenced without any minute disturbance.
It is further information that the matter shall be treated as a top priority and delinquent Officers / Officials shall be treated under E&D rules if any delay or mismanagement and poor performance is reported.

Before this School Education Department Punjab issued a Notification on 14-03-2024 regarding Establishment Book Banks in Punjab for collection and distribution free books in Punjab.
