Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat issued a Notification on 04-04-2024 in connection with the Eid-ul-Fitr Holidays 2024 in Pakistan. As per the Notification, the Federal Government employees will have Eid holidays from 10th  March 2024 (Wednesday) to 13^th April 2024 (Saturday).

Eid-ul-Fitr Holidays 2024 in Pakistan

In Continuation of cabinet Division’s circular No 10-02-2023- Min-II dated 20^th December 2023 regarding Public and Optional holidays for the year 2024, this is for general information that the Prime Minister has been pleased to improve public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, as follows:

1. 10^th April to 12^th April 2024 (Wednesday to Friday) for the officer observing give five working days in a week; and,
2. 10^th April to 13^th April 2024 (Wednesday to Saturday) for the officer observing six working days in a week.

How Many Holidays Employees Can Get on Eid?

Most Federal Government employees have 5 working days a week starting from Monday to Friday. So if the employee gets only two leaves on Monday and Tuesday then they will enjoy a total of 09 Holidays on this Eid-ul-Fitr holiday. The Federal Employees having 6 working days a week will only have 8 days’ holidays if they get leave on Monday and Tuesday. This schedule is as under:

The Eid-ul-Fiter 2024 and Easter are falling nearly to each other with a gap of about two weeks. Punjab Government has already issued the Notification Public Holiday on 1st April 2024 in Punjab for the Christian Community on the eve of the Day after Ester. The Punjab Government and other provincial Governments will soon issue the Notifications for Eid-ul-Fitr Holidays 2024. As soon as I get the NOtification of Provinces, I shall share.
