Government of Pakistan Finance Division issued a Notification on 04-07-2025 in connection with Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) 2025 @ 30%. The Federal Government employees of BPS-01 to BPS-22 will get this DRA-2025, but those who are already getting the Disparity Reduction Allowance 2021 and 2022. The details are as follows:
Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) 2025 @ 30%
The Federal Employees who are already getting DRA-2021 @ 25% and DRA-2022 @ 15 will get this allowance. The main features of this DRA-2025 are as follows:
The employees of BPS-01 to BPS-22 will get this Disparity Reduction Allowance 2025 but those who are already getting DRA-2021 a d DRA-2022. The employees will get this DRA on the Basic Pay as on 30-06-2022, which means this DRA is on the basis of the Revised Pay Scales 2017 of the Government employees.
This allowance is @ 30% of the basic pay as on 30th June 2022.
The specific employees will get this Disparity Reduction Allowance with effect from 1st July 2025.
These employees, after having DRA-2025, will have a total of 70% of DRA. The details are as under:
DRA-2021 @ 25%
DRA-2022 @ 15%
DRA-2025 @ 30
Total DRA @ 70%
How to Calculate ARA-2025?
The calculation of DRA-2025 is simple. The already working employees on 30-06-2022 will just have to multiply by 2 their previous DRA-2022 @ 15 %. The net amount is DRA-2025. The employees who got their appointment after 30-06-2022 will have to multiply 30% by their initial basic pay of the concerned pay scale of Basic Pay Scales 2027. Other Provincial Govt DRA
At this time, only the KPK Government announced a 15% DRA, Balochistan Government 5% increasing from 15% to 20% for the employees of BPS-01 to BPS-16. Punjab and Sindh Governments have not yet announced this allowance.
