According to Rule 17-A Government of the Punjab gives the job to the son/daughter/wife of the deceased or incapacitated employee during service. This job is from BPS-01 to BPS-05 or of the Junior Clerk according to the qualification of the candidate. Earlier the post of Junior Clerk was of BPS-07 now it has been upgraded to BPS-11. In this way the candidate will get the job of Junior Clerk (BPS-11) under Rule 17-A.

Sir my brother has applied under 17 a he passed typing test n was asked to collect appointment letter, but now department is saying Ur mother was retired in category B of 17a, u r not eligible but I checked in Punjab regulation wing website there is no such notification, one notification of department 2017 states the clauses present both in category a and b, it doesn’t say that category B us not illegible. Deapartment is asking us to bring notification from Lahore that clearly says that both category a and b are eligible, what should we do n contact, plzz
