Postponing Budget 2025-26 Pakistan on 10th June 2025 Instead of 2nd June 2025

As per the Daily Jang dated 24th May 2025 and Daily Express, the Federal Government has announced a Change in the Date of Announcement of the Budget 2025-2026. The government will present the fiscal budget on 10th June 2025 instead of 2nd June 2025.  The Federal Government of Pakistan has to make this decision due to technical issues with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The details are as follows:

 

Change in Date of Announcement of Budget 2025-2026 Federal

 

               As per the news in the newspapers, the Government of Pakistan has postponed the Budget 2025-2026. Now the Federal Government will present the Budget after the Eid-ul-Azha 2025 Holidays. The Federal Government has fixed 10th June 2025 (Tuesday) as a Budget announcement day.

               The Budget was delayed because the income and expenditure calculations were not finalized according to the IMF conditions. The government has also postponed the Annual Coordination Committee meeting. Before this Federal Government has fixed 2nd June 2025 as the Date of announcement Budget 2025-26 of Pakistan.

 

Employees and Budget 2025-26

 

The Government employees have many expectations from the Budget 2025-26. The employees want, Government should fulfil the agreement that the Government made with the employees. As you know, I have already shared the updates of the employee agreement with the Government, and I hope the Government will consider all the demands of the employees. Main demands are the Disparity Reduction Allowance, House Rent Allowance / Hiring of residential accommodation, Pension Reforms, and Restoration of Prime Minister Assistance Package as per the actual Notification of 2014/15.
