I shall explain here the Clarity DRA-2025 and Adhoc Relief Allowance (ARA) 2025 for Federal Government employees. You know, the Salary increase as per the Budget Speech 2025-26 does not clarify the exact situation of the salary increase for the employees.

The Clarity DRA-2025 and Adhoc Relief Allowance (ARA) 2025

I am receiving many questions regarding the Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) 2025.  A few questions relate to the basic pay of the DRA-2025. The budget speech just states that eligible government employees will get Disparity Reduction Allowance @ 30%. And there was nothing its clarify. I shall try to give an answer to the queries related to it as per the current status. I have already shared the Salary Increase Chart as per the Budget Speech 2025-26. That chart requires further amendments for the new clarifications. There are three basic questions for the DRA 2025 and ARA-2025.

• DRA-2025 on Which Basic Pay
• Rate of Disparity Reduction Allowance 2025
• Who will get DRA-2025?

I shall answer here based on the previous history of Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) and the statement (11-06-2025)  of the representative of the Government employees, Mr. Rehman Ali Bajwa. As you know, Mr. Rehman Ali Bajwa was actually in touch with the Government representatives and handing over the agreement of the employees to the Government.

Adhoc Relief Allowance 2025

The government announced Adhoc Relief Allowance 2025 with effect from 1^st July 2025 @ 10% of current / running basic pay. The employees are now getting their salaries as per the Revised Pay Scales 2022. The current basic pay of the employees is as per the Revised Pay Scales 2022. So the Adhoc Relief Allowance 2025 is based on the current basic pay of the employees.

Example

Suppose an employee is getting Rs. 90,000/- as Basic pay, then he will get Rs. 9,000/- as Adhoc Relief Allowance 2025.

Disparity Reduction Allowance 2025 (On Which Basic Pay)

As per the statement of Mr. Rehman Ali Bajwa, the employee will get DRA-2025 on the Basic Pay as on 30-06-2022. This basic pay on 30^th June 2022 is just before the Revised Basic Pay Scales 2022, hence it is based on the Revised Pay Scales 2017.

Example of DRA-2025

Suppose an employee of BPS-18 is currently getting Rs. 112,210/- as Basic Pay, we’ll calculate his DRA-2025 as under:

So the basic pay for the purpose of DRA-2025 is 67050/-

Amount of DRA-2025 = 20115/-

Rates of DRA 2025

All eligible employees will get a 30% Disparity Reduction Allowance 2025.

Who will get DRA-2025?

The employees who are already getting DRA-2021 and DRA-2022 will also get DRA-2025. The employees who are not getting 100% or more Special Allowances are currently getting DRA-2021 @ 25% and DRA-2022 @ 15%, thus they are getting a total 40% DR, A, and now after the addition of 30% DRA, they will get a total 70% DRA. In the future, there are chances that the government will grant 30% more DRA to make a total of 100% DRA.
