Government of Sindh, Finance Department issued a Notification on 09-07-2025 in connection with Grant of Adhoc Relief Allowance 2025 Sindh @ 12% and 10% to Civil Servants of Sindh Government. This ARA-2025 Sindh is applicable with effect from 1st July 2025. The details are as follows:
Grant of Adhoc Relief Allowance 2025 Sindh @ 12% and 10%
The Government of the Sindh Cabinet pleased to sanction an ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2026 with effect from 1st July, 2025, to all Civil Servants of the Sindh Government as well as contractual employees against civil posts in Basic Pay scales on standard terms and conditions of contract appointment. The rate of Ad-hoc relief Allowance-2025 is as under:
BPS-01 to BPS_16 @12% of Running Basic Pay
BPS-17 to BPS-22 @10% of Running Basic Pay
The Finance Division Government of Pakistan has already issued the Notification Adhoc Relief Allowance 2025 (Federal) @ 10% of current running basic pay. Now the Sindh Government issued the Notification with different rates.
Terms and Conditions for ARA-2025 Sindh
The amount of Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2025;
ARA-2025 is subject to income tax:
Adhoc Relief Allowance 2025 is admissible during leave and the entire period of LPR, except during Extraordinary Leave (EOL);
The employees cannot treat it as part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of Pension / Gratuity and recovery of House Rent.
The employees during the tenure of their posting/ deputation abroad cannot get this allowance.
The employees on their repatriations for posting /deputation abroad at the rate of the amount which would have been admissible to them had they not been posted abroad.
The terms “Basi Pay” for the Ad-hoc relief Allowance-2025 will also include the amount of the Personal Pay granted on account of annual increments(s) beyond the maximum of the existing pay scales.
