The Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Finance, issued an Office Memorandum on 17-12-2025 in connection with the Withdrawal Notification Pension in Case of Job after Retirement. Now the retired employees will get a pension as well as a salary if they get a new job after retirement. The details are as follows:
Withdrawal Notification Pension in Case of Job after Retirement
As per the Notification, Pension for Re-Employed Retirees has been addressed as the Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Finance issued the latest Office Memorandum regarding pension in case of re-employment or appointment after retirement, withdrawing earlier notifications with immediate effect.

According to the Notification, the undersigned is directed to refer to the Finance Division’s O.Ms. No. F.9(3) Reg.6/2024-100 dated 22.04.2025 and dated 19-06-2025 on the subject noted above, and to state that the aforementioned O.Ms are hereby withdrawn with immediate effect.
Notification dated 19-04-2025: Only One Pension or Salary on Job After Retirement
As per the Notification dated 19th April 2025, the Finance Division had given a choice to the retired employee to get one of these two:
Pension
or
Salary
later on vide the below Notification, the finance division had facilitated the pensioner that they will get the salary as well as pension, but their salary will be reduced by an amount equal to the gross pension. It means they would get salary by minus their gross pension. But now they will get a full salary as well as a full pension.
