Appointment authority for civil servants in Balochistan has been revised under the latest notification, amending Rule 4 of the Balochistan Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 2009. The notification defines which authority is competent to make appointments for posts falling under different basic pay scales.

As per the Notification:
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Balochistan Civil Servants Act, 1974 (Act No. IX of 1974), the Government of Balochistan is pleased to amend rule 4 of the Balochistan Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 2009 as under:-
In the aforesaid rules, for rule 4, the following shall be substituted:-
“The authority competent to make appointments to the various posts shall be as follows:”
