Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued a Notification on 04-02-2026 in connection with Amendment to Pension in Case of Re-Employment / Appointment after Retirement. The details are as follows:
Amendment Pension in Case of Re-Employment / Appointment after Retirement (Punjab)
The Finance Department, Govt of the Punjab, has withdrawn its earlier issued Notification dated 1st July 2025. According to the Notification, I am directed to refer to this Department’s letter No. FD.SR-III-4-82/2025 dated 01-07-2025 on the subject cited above and to state that pursuant to the decision of the cabinet, the said letter is hereby withdrawn with effect from its date of issuance, i.e., 01-07-2025.
Clarification of the Notification
The Finance Department of Punjab issued a Notification on 1st July 2025 regarding only one option: salary or pension on getting a new job after retirement. But now the Finance Department has withdrawn the said letter. Now, employees who get jobs after retirement will receive both benefits: the pension from their previous job and pay/allowances from their new job. The Federal Government has already withdrawn this Notification.
