Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Finance Department, issued a Notification on 14-07-2026 regarding Audit & Accounts Allowance 2026 @ 30% of Basic Pay with effect from 1st July 2026. The details are as follows:

The Provincial Cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in its Special Cabinet meeting held on 19/06/2026 has been pleased to enhance Audit & Accounts Allowance from Twenty Percent (20%) of the Basic Pay Scale to Thirty Percent (30%) per month of the Basic Pay Scale to the employees of the Treasury Service of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa w.e.f 1st July, 2026.
T&Cs for AA Allowance 2026
The above allowance will be admissible subject to the following conditions:
- It will be subject to income tax.
- It will not be counted towards pension or commutation of gratuity.
- It will only be admissible to Treasury employees who are posted in the Treasury Department or on deputation/transfer to other Departments/Autonomous Bodies/institutions.
- It will not be admissible to the Federal Government employees posted in the treasury establishment and receiving Audit & Accounts allowance from the Federal Government.
- It will be admissible during the waiting period for posting; however, it will not be admissible to officers who are on Extra Ordinary Leave (EOL), placed under suspension, or on Earned leave sanctioned for more than 120 days.
- Officers employed on a pay package other than the national Pay scale (contract, market-based salary scale, etc.) are not entitled to this allowance.
Consequently, with the issuance of this notification, all other notifications & orders in this regard shall stand superseded/ceased to be effective.
