The Government of Pakistan Cabinet Division issued a Notification on 19-01-2026 in connection with the Public Holidays 2026 Pakistan, These public and optional holidays 2026 in Pakistan are for the Federal Government employees and the general public across the country. This notification includes national, Islamic, and minority festivals with official dates. The details are as follows:
The Government of the Punjab School Education Department has announced the Extension of the Winter Vacation 2026 in Punjab schools and colleges. The Higher Education Department will also announce the same. As per the Education Minister of Punjab, the Punjab Govt and Private Schools will remain closed till 19th January 2026 instead of 11th January 2026.
I am sharing the latest update on the reopening of schools in Punjab after the winter vacation of 2026. As per the Survey shared by Rana Skindar Hayat, Provincial Education Minister of Punjab, 88% Teachers/ students and parent voters voted to open the school on 19th January 2026, while only 12% voters voted to open the school/ colleges on 12th January.
Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Elementary & Secondary School Education Department issued a Notification on 19-12-2025 in connection with Winter Vacation Notification 2025 KPK Schools. For Summer zones vacation are starting from 1st January 2025, while for the winter zone, the schools will remain closed with effect from 23rd December 2025. The details are as follows:
The Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad, issued a Notification on 18-12-2025 in connection with the winter vacation 2025 for Federal Schools and Colleges in Islamabad. The Federal Directorate of Education, Government of Pakistan, issued a notification for all Islamabad Model Schools and Colleges. According to the notification, winter vacations will be observed from 26th December 2025 to 3rd January 2026, while academic activities will resume from 5th January 2026.
