Notification of Revised Pay Scales 2001 & Its Effects on Employees

Pay Scales for the Govt Employees were revised on 01-12-2001 vide Finance Division Regulation Wing Notification No. F.1 (5) Imp/2001 dated 4th September 2001. These pay scales were a huge shock for many employees as there were many benefits the employees already availing, were discontinued, although the salaries of the employees increased on a large scale. These pay scales were revised after a long period of about half & seven years. Before Revised Pay Scales 2001, pay scales were revised in 1994.

Implementations of the Recommendation of Pay & Pension Commission-2009 Regarding Special Additional Pension & Provision of Orderly/Driver to the Officers in BPS-20 and Above On Retirement

Finance Division Regulation Wing Islamabad has issued Notification No. F.1 (2) –Reg.6/91-Vol-IX dated 24th December 2012 in connection with implementations of the recommendation of Pay & Pension Commission-2009 regarding Special Additional Pension & Provision of Orderly/Driver to the Officers in BPS-20 and above on retirement.

Amendment in Federal Employees Benevolent Fund & Group Insurance Rules-1972

Establish Division Federal Employees Benevolent & Group Insurance Funds has made amendment in Federal Employees Benevolent Fund & Group Insurance Rules-1972 vide Notification No. 18-22/Act-Amdt/Plan 2002 dated 23rd November 2012. The new rates will be admissible wef 01-09-2012.

The minimum rates of monthly Benevolent Grant has been raised to Rs.4000/- with the maximum of Rs.10,100/- PM as per the column 5 of Sixth Schedule. In the same way the rates of monthly subscription of Benevolent Fund have also been increased from 2% to 2.40% of the basic pay without maximum limit as per column 4 of Sixth Schedule.

Punjab Govt has already issued the notification No. FD.SR.II.9-107/2012 dated 30th October 2012 in connection with Paternity Leave as well as Maternity Leave for the Provincial Govt Employees.

The male servant now can get a leave of maximum period of 7 days on full pay out side his leave account on or immediately after the birth of his child. Such leave will only be admissible twice in his entire service.
