As you know that there is much news from major TV Channels that the Government is granting DRA-2025 @ 30% and Revised Pay Scales 2025 with merging one of the Adhoc Relief Allowances. It is not yet clear which ARA Government will merge into basic pay. On the basis of this news, I have tried to clarify the status of these allowances and the possibility of merging them into basic pay and the introduction of Revised Pay Scales 2025. The Federal Government is presenting the Budget on 10th June 2025, and there may be new news in the coming days. The government may produce its formula or amendments to the proposals. Notification Revised Management Pay Scales 2023 (MP-I, MP-II & MP-III)
Government of Pakistan, Finance Division issued a Notification on 31-11-2023 in connection with Revised MP Pay Scales 2023. According to the Notification Finance Division issued the Revision of Management Pay Scales MP-I, MP-II, and MP-III. The Federal Government also clarified the TA/DA 2023, Medical Facilities, and Gratuity or Commutation on Retirement. They will also get Monetization of Transport facilities at specific rates. Introduction Negotiable Pay Package by Government of KPK
Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Planning and Development Department issues a notification on 27-04-2023 regarding the Introduction Negotiable Pay Package for specific employees. The main subject of the letter is to decide the conversion of employees hired on a Negotiable Pay Package.
Removal of Anomaly in Fixation of Pay 2022 Basic Pay Scales
Finance Division issued Notification No. F.No.1(5)Imp/2022-25 on 02-02-2023 in connection with the Removal of Anomaly in Fixation of Pay 2022 Basic Pay Scales. Such type of anomalies may occur due to the introduction of revised pay scales in 2022 for the Government employee of Pakistan. The Finance Division merged the following Adhoc Relief Allowances into basic pay:
- Adhoc Relief Allowance 2016
- ARA-2017
- ARA-2018
- Adhoc Relief Allowance 2019
- Adhoc Relief Allowance 2021
When some employees added these Adhoc allowances into basic pay, they were wondering to see the new basic pay they got reduced. Simply means they get the new basic pay after adding all the five allowances into basic pay. They should have equal or more new Basic Pay of 2022 Pay scales than the sum of Adhoc allowances and their old basic pay.
