The Federal Govt has increased the rates of Over-Time Allowance to Staff Car Drivers and Dispatch Riders wef 01-08-2012. Vide Notification No. F.4 (1) R-5 /2010 dated 9th August 2012. Over time allowance for Staff Car Drivers and Dispatch Riders will be Rs. 25/- per hour instead of Rs. 20/- per hour subject to a maximum limit Rs. 150/- per day.
Pay fixation occurs on many occasions in the service life of an employee. It is generally fixed when an employee is promoted, upgraded, re-appointed, gets move-over, gets selection grade, on getting advance increments etc. The move-over and selection grade have already been eliminated in December 2001. However if there is any back date case of such category pay can be fixed. Let’s see the detailed view of pay fixation.
An Option Certificate on Pay Fixation is a great tool for employees who are being promoted. An option certificate can be adopted if an employee is promoted after 1st June. As you all know that the condition for the annual increment is a minimum of 6 months of service in a particular scale, and if an employee is promoted after 1st June, the 6 months of service are not completed by the same employee. Then what will happen to the employee if he is promoted after 1st June? Will he not get the benefit of the Annual Increment? This will be a loss for that employee. But don’t worry; this loss can be avoided by using the great tool of the Option Certificate for Pay Fixation.
A Pay Structure Committee has been constituted by the Government and its meeting has already held on Monday 10th September 2012. The main function of this committee is to find the discrimination of pay and allowances among the Govt employees of various departments. The other task of this committee is to merge the Adhoc Allowances into new Basic Pay Scales. The next meeting of this committee is expected soon during the next weeks.
Finance Division Regulation Wing, Islamabadhas finally issued the revised notification of revised conveyance allowance vide Notification No. F.3 (1)-R.5/2010- dated 5th Sep 2012 for the employees of BPS-01 to BPS-15. The Daily Allowance for the Federal Govt Employees has been revised wef 01-08-2012 vide Finance Division Regulation Wing O.M No.F.8 (1) R-10/2011-318 dated 17th August 2012. It is also noticeable that the rates of Accommodation Charges will be admissible at the rate of 2 times of the daily allowance at that places where no hotel accommodation receipt is not produced.
