Government of the Punjab Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department has issued Notification on 24-07-2019 in connection with the Punjab Regularization of Service (Amendment) Ordinance 2019 for the contract employees of Punjab. Summary is as under:
Punjab Regularization of Service (Amendment) Ordinance 2019
Main points of the Notification issued by Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department for the Regularization of the contract employees of Punjab having 3 years service are as under:
Amendment in section 1 of the Act XV of 2018. In the Punjab Regularization of Service Act 2018 (XV of 2018). In Section 1, for subsection (3), the following shall be substituted.
“(3) it shall apply to all the persons employed on contract in a department, who have completed three years continuous service before or after the commencement of the Act,”.
Amendment in section 3 of the Act XV of 2018.- In the Act, in section 3,, for subsection (2), the following shall be substituted.
“(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Act, the contract employees who have continuously been serving as such for a period not less than three years shall be eligible to be considered for appointment on regular basis if:
- A regular vacancy allocated for initial recruitment is available for regularization;
- He is qualified for the post;
- He has not been appointment on a special pay package;
- His performance during the period of contract has remained satisfactory; and
- He does not opt to continue as contract employee,”.

My contract service as junior clerk in on farm water management department will be of 3 years on 17.01.2021. Will contract be extended or what is my future then. Please guide me. I am very much tensed about my job.
What the meaning of “he is eligible for the post” as he hired in job 3 year before then criteria different and now may b changed
I have completed the service of four years on contract basis till 10-09-2019
But no such action is made for me…

I have 3 .5 year service. S& GD Will issued separate notification for all departments? Or this ordinance is enough for every department
I think there will be issue a separate one.
All employees who completed their 3 year service or only those who complete their 3 years serives as on 30.4.2018 will enjoy the regularization?
Please confirm this is signed by Governor. what will be the next procedure?
Don’t worry about signatures. Notification of the 2018 was also without signature. Now i think there will be demanded list of all contract employees having 3 years service.
