Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Home & Tribal Affairs Department Peshawar has issued Notification on 09-12-2019 in connection with Upgradation of KPK Prisons Department Posts. Detail is as under:
No. SO(B)/Prisons/HD/6-1/2019: On recommendation of the Upgradation Committee, the competent authority is pleased to upgrade the following posts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Prisons Department vide Finance Department (Regularization Wing) Letter No. SO(FR)/FD/7-8/2017/1743/Home Department dated 27-11-2019, with immediate effect, after observing all codal formalities:-

On the recommendation of the Up-gradation committee, the competent authority is further pleased to direct that all the posts of Senior Assistant Superintendent Jail (BPS-16) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Prisons Department may be read as Assistant Superintendent Jail (BPS-16) with immediate effect.
The Department will amend the service rules for the above up-gradation posts as well as re-designed posts accordingly.
The expenditure involved on this account is debatable to the functional cum Object Classification 03-Public Order and Safety Affairs, 034- Prisons Administration and Operation and 034101-Jails and Convict Settlement and will be met out from the grant of Financial Year 2019-20.
