Government of Sindh, Finance Department issued an Office Memorandum on 13-07-2022 in connection with Notification Increase Pension 2022 Sindh @ 5% for Sindh pensioners. This is an important Notification of enhancement in pension with different rates. Some of the main points are as under:

Detail of Pension Enhancement Sindh
The government of Sindh has been pleased to sanction an increase until further orders to all civil pensioners of the Sindh Government at the following rates:
@ 5% of the pension to the existing civil pensioners who retired on or before 30.06.2022 with effect from 01.07.2022 and;
@63.5% of net pension top pensioners who will retire on or after 01.07.2022, ceasing all previous increases in pension i.e., 2011, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 with effect from 01.07.2022.
The previous eight (8) increased i.e. 15% of 2011, 10% of 2015,10% of 2016, 15% of 2017, 10% of 2018, 15% of 2019, 10% of 2020 and 10% of 2021 shall cease to exist for pensioners who will retiree on or after 01st July 2022.
For the purpose of admissibly of increase in pension sanctioned in this Department’s O.M. the term “Net Pension” means “Pension being drawn”.
This increase in pension is also applicable for family pensions. The increase in pension will not be admissible for Special Additional Pension allowed in lieu of pre-retirement orderly allowance.
This Notification is only for a 5% increase in pension. However, as Federal and Punjab governments enhanced 15% pension, and no updates yet of a 15% rise in pension for Sindh pensioners. Let’s wait for further updates in this regard.
