I am sharing the latest Updates of Schools Opening in Punjab on 10^th Jan 2024. As per the Chief Minister Punjab, Mr. Mohsan NQVI, the Punjab Government and Private Schools will resume on 10-01-2024.  The statement of the CM Punjab is as under:

Updates of Schools Opening in Punjab on 10th Jan 2024

Due to the ongoing winter wave, schools will resume on 10th Jan 2024. From 10th to 22nd Jan, schools will start at 9:30 am. It is highly advisable to wear jackets and warm clothes.

As per the current statement, there is no extension in Winter Holidays in Punjab however, Notification Extension Winter Vacation 2024 in KPK Schools (Primary) has already been issued.

So the Punjab Government and Private Schools will resume after winter vacation with effect from 10th January 2024. However, they will observe different school timings. The schools will start at 9:30 am daily. the closing timings of the schools will soon be announced by the Punjab Schools Education Department.

Notification School Opening – School Education Department Punjab

The government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued a Notification on 08-01-2024 in connection with the re-opening of schools in Punjab after Winter Vacation 2024. As per the Notification, the schools in Punjab will re-open on 10^th Jan 2024. The private and public schools will open at 9:30 daily till 22^nd Jan 2024. The schools will observe normal school timings with effect from 23^rd Jan 2024.

Board Classes and Students

It is a good decision for the Government of Punjab, the Board Classes are suffering a lot. They will soon appear in Board Exams in March. The students cannot afford more holidays in school. However, students should wear a warm dress during the extreme cold wave in Punjab.

Punjab Government School Education Department will soon issue the Notification. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Education Department has made a good decision as the children up to class 5^th will not come to school till 17^th January 2024. Only Class 6^th and above will attend the classes. The Punjab Government should also give relaxation to the primary school children. These children are the most effective from the weather. On the other hand, they have also no Board exams. So it is better to give them relax and stay at home for a week more, so that they may save themselves from harsh weather.
