Electric Bikes for Government Employees in Punjab 2024

I am sharing the updates on Electric Bikes for Government Employees in Punjab 2024. The Punjab Government will soon start the process of electric bikes for Government employees including Punjab Government School Teachers. The Education Minister Punjab Rana Sikandar Hayat has taken a testing mode for scooties. Initially, the school teachers will get the benefit from these scooties.

The Punjab government has decided to give electric bikes to government teachers. According to the details, it has been decided to give electric bikes to 15,000 government employees of Punjab in a phased manner. Sources say that in the first phase, 5,000 teachers will be given electric bikes, in the second and third phases, another 5,500 bikes will be given. Due to the high cost of petrol, teachers are having difficulties in going to school. Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat says that electric bikes will be 100% beneficial for teachers. Electric bikes will be distributed after approval from the Chief Minister.

Installment Plan, Total Cost, and Eligibility Criteria for Scooties

As the process is still in the testing mood and the Chief Minister of Punjab has not yet approved the project. As soon as the CM Punjab approves the scheme of motorbikes for teachers, the Government will issue the Installment Plan, Total Cost, and Eligibility criteria for the scooties.

Punjab Government has already launched the scheme of motorbikes for students 2024 in Punjab. This scheme is still in progress and the willing students can apply till 30th April 2024 for the bikes for students. I hope after the successful completion of the students’ bikes, the government will start the process of electric bikes or e-bikes for teachers in Punjab.

This scheme will really benefit the school teachers, especially the female teachers. Female teachers face a lot while they go to their educational institutions and hence back home. The male teachers manage in some way but the female teachers have to pay a lot of rickshaws and taxies.
