Government of the Punjab, Home Department issued a Notification on 30-04-2025 in connection with Upgradation of the Post of Parole Officer / Probation Officer from BPS-16 to BPS-17. The details are as follows:
Upgradation of the Post of Parole Officer / Probation Officer
As per the Notification, the Home Department, Punjab issued a Notification on 30th April 2025 regarding upgradation of the posts of Probation / Parole Officer from BPS-16 to BPS-17. The Home Department upgraded the post with effect from 27th March 2025.

In pursuance of approval of Provincial Cabinet in its 24th meeting held on 27-03-2025, the Home Department has upgraded the post of Probation / Parole Officer from BPS-16 to BPS-17 with effect from 27th March 2025.

Congratulations to all the concerned employees. These employees had the right to have their posts upgraded. Many other posts in the Home Department and other departments of Punjab should also have the degradation. The government has not upgraded many posts for a long time. The long-awaited degradation posts should be upgraded with no more delay.
