Finance Department Gilgit Baltistan issued the latest Adhoc Relief Allowance (ARA) 2026 GB on 05-10-2026. The GB FD granted this ARA-2026 @ 7% of current basic pay for government employees. The details are as follows:
Adhoc Relief Allowance (ARA) 2026 GB
No. Fin-Reg-1(3)/2026-27 (ARA). The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan has been pleased
to Sanction Adhoc Relief Allowance, 2026 @ 7% of running basic pay to the civil
employees of Government of Gilgit-Baltistan including contract employees against civil posts
in basic pay scales on standard terms and conditions of contract appointment with effect
from 1st October, 2026. However, the Ad hoc Relief Allowance, 2026 @ 7% of
running basic pay will be admissible with effect from 1st July 2026 to the civil employees
of Government of Gilgit-Baltistan including contract employees against civil posts in basic pay
scales who are retiring between 1st July 2026 to 30th September 2026.
Terms and Conditions for ARA-2026 GB
- The amount of Ad-hoc Relief Allowance, 2026:(i) Shall be admissible during leave and entire period of LPR except during extra ordinary leave.
(ii) Shall not be treated as part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of pension/gratuity and recovery of House Rent.
(iii) Shall not be admissible to the employees during the tenure of their posting/deputation abroad; and
(iv) Shall be admissible to the employees on their repatriation from posting/deputation abroad at the rate and amount which would have been admissible to them had they not been posted abroad.
- The term “Basic Pay” for the purpose of Ad-hoc-Relief Allowance-2026 will also include the amount of the personal pay granted on account of annual increment(s) beyond the maximum of the existing pay scales.
- The above Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2026 shall be accommodated from within the budgetary allocation for the year 2026-27.
