Punjab Govt has issued the notification of Conveyance Allowance for the Punjab Govt Employees of BPS-01 to BPS-19 wef 01-07-2012 vide No. FD.SR.I.9-4/86(P) (PR) dated 04-12-2012. The payment of 1st Quarter of current financial year ie. July 2012 to September 2012 shall be made along with the pay of December 2012, followed by the quarterly payment of arrears for second quarter i.e October 2012 to December 2012 with the pay of March 2013 and for the third quarter, January 2013 to March 2013 with the pay of April 2013. The payment of Conveyance Allowance shall be brought at per current basis wef April 2013.

Clarification Regarding Notification of Increase in Daily Allowance
The Ministry of Finance Regulation wing Islamabad, has issued a notification No. F.8 (1) R-10/2011-318 dated 16th November 2012 regarding the clarification in the previous issued notification no. F.8 (1) R-10/2011-318 dated 17th August 2012.
Notification of Regularization of SSS Punjab
Govt of the Punjab School Education Department has regularized Senior Subject Specialist wef 10-09-2011 vide even Notification & Even dated. These Senior Subject Specialists were working in BPS-18 on contract basis and were appointed the contract policy 2004. The service period of contract basis of these employees will not be counted for pension, gratuity or leave etc. The seniority of these employees will be in respective new cadre will be reckoned from their date of regular appointment.
Pay & Allowances of Lecturers of Punjab Protected
Mohtsib Punjab has issued orders to Accountant General Punjab & all the district offices to protect the pay and allowances of the lecturers who have been appointed through Punjab Public Service Commission. Mohtsib Punjab also ordered the said officials to submit the report by adding previous pay and allowances of these lectures. It is added that these lectures were working as teachers in various Punjab educational institutions and they were selected as lectures through Punjab Public Service.
Revised Pay Scales expected wef 01-01-2013
According to the Daily Nawa-e- Waqt dated 05-11-2012; and Daily Jang, Federal Govt has decided to introduce Revised Pay Scales wef 01-01-2013. Govt has decided to revise the Basic Pay Scales before the upcoming election 2013 and in this way there will be a increase in pay and allowances of the Govt employees.
Notification of Special Allowance for Rescue 1122 issued by Punjab Govt
Punjab Govt has issued Special Allowance for the employees of Rescue 1122 vide Notification No. SO(CD)5-R-63/2012 dated 31st October 2012. This 15 days Fixed Daily allowance will be admissible on the following conditions:
a- Special Allowance admissible @ basic pay will be allowed @ the rate of initial of basic pay scales 2008 on the analogy of Police Department.
b- This allowance will be admissible only to the staff on operational
Pay Committee Urged Govt for Fresh Pay Scales
According to the daily The News dated 27th October 2012, the pay committee led by Mr. Ishrat Hussain has asked the Govt to introduce fresh pay scales for the Govt Employees so that the discrimination found among the employees be removed. He said” “We have conditioned the finalizing of the committee’s recommendations on the removal of existing distortions because just lip service will not serve the purpose,” said Husain. “The creation of fresh pay scales is necessary to attracting talented people into public service as with the existing pay structure of BS-17, no one will come into the public sector.”
