Notification of Revised Pay Scales 2001 & Its Effects on Employees

Pay Scales for the Govt Employees were revised on 01-12-2001 vide Finance Division Regulation Wing Notification No. F.1 (5) Imp/2001 dated 4th September 2001. These pay scales were a huge shock for many employees as there were many benefits the employees already availing, were discontinued, although the salaries of the employees increased on a large scale. These pay scales were revised after a long period of about half & seven years. Before Revised Pay Scales 2001, pay scales were revised in 1994.

Option for Re-Fixation of Pay on Grant of Selection Grade

Military Account General, Kashmir Road Rawalpindi Cantt issued a Letter No. 38/AT/PC/4699-XXIV/P-139 dated 11th April 2007 in connection with Option for Re-Fixation of Pay on Grant of Selection Grade. In this letter it is clearly written that the benefit of re-fixation of pay on award of selection grade in respect of teachers before 07-07-2001 is in order and may not be re-considered/revised.

Inclusion of Adhoc Allowances in the Emolument Reckonable Towards Calculation of Pension

Federal Service Tribunal Islamabad has passed a judgment on 22-02-2012 regarding Inclusion of Adhoc Allowances in the Emolument Reckonable towards Calculation of Pension and the finance division Islamabad vide their letter No. F.13 (24)- Reg.6/2011/395 dated 05-04-2012 has desired calculation of financial impact of the following allowances as emoluments reckonable towards pension of those pensioners who were drawing the said allowance or allowances at the time of their retirement.
