Pay and Allowances

I am sharing the Table of Scale Wise Rental Ceiling Covered Area and Specification of Hired House for the employees. The covered area of the house is different for different pay scale employees. The table has 10 categories of employees BPS-wise.  The table contains old rates of hiring; however, I have updated the same table with new rates effective from 1^st July 2021 after the Enhancement of the Rental Ceiling of the Hiring 2021 Notification for Federal Government employees.

Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Housing and Works issued an Office Memorandum on 28-02-2023 in connection with the Clarification Change of Category of Hiring Accommodation during the On-going Lease Period.  The Ministry of Housing & Works issued a Notification to clarify the matter Request for Opinion under Relevant Rules for Hiring of Residential Accommodation. The details are as under:

All employees of Pakistan demand an Increase in house Rent Allowance (HRA) in Budget 2023-24 Pakistan. There is news of a 30% increase in salary in Budget 2023-24 for the employees. The employees have a big issue with HRA too as it is very serious as the rate of House Rent Allowance that the employees are getting is meager as compared to the actual rents of houses they hired. The rates of HRA are not only very high in big cities but the small/other cities have also high rates of Rented House.
