Government of the Punjab, Services and General Administration Department issued a Notification on 23-06-2026 in connection with Public Holidays on 9th and 10th Moharram 2026 in Punjab. The Punjab Govt announced Public holidays on Ashura 2026 on 25-06-2026 and 26-06-2026. The details are as follows:
Public Holidays on 9th and 10th Moharram 2026 in Punjab
According to the notification, there will be a public holiday on Thursday and Friday, 25th and 26th June 2026, throughout the province of Punjab. The Punjab Govt announced these holidays on the occasion of Ashura, 9th and 10th Moharram 2026.
Ashura Holidays 2026 Punjab 5 & 6 Working Days Offices
These holidays apply to both offices, with 5- and 6-working-day weeks.
As Thursday and Friday are closed, employees who work 5 days a week will have 4 consecutive holidays. They will have the holidays on the following days:
- Thursday
- Friday
- Saturday
- Sunday
