Government of the Punjab Health Department has issued Notification No. SO(G-II)38-5/12 (P) dated 26^th March 2014 in connection with Implementation of Up-Gradation/Re-Designation and Adjustment of Allied Health Professionals on Up-Graded Posts as Per 4 Tier Formula Category Wise in respective Technologies at District/Institution Level in Punjab.

I am directed to refer to this department’s Notification No. SO(ND)7-11/2010 (Paramedics) dated 24-11-2011, even No. dated 22-01-2014 on the subject cited above and to state that the approved and notified up-gradation of the 4-Tier structure be implemented in the light of stipulations of the above referred Notification.

In the 1^st instance existing incumbents of Clinical & PHC Cadre Posts shall stand automatically be up-graded/adjusted to the next level within their respective categories of cadre, in order of seniority as one time dispensation. Up-gradation/adjustment of the incumbents on posts mentioned in para-3 of the Notification dated 24-11-2011 shall be as per the number of posts available in each pay scale for specific technology/category of the post mentioned at para-1 of the same Notification. Upon implementation of one time up-gradation, further promotions will be made as per laid down criteria/formula of 50, 34,15,1 and seniority lists in each category.

Splashed posts will unit wise/institution wise be notified for each category strictly in accordance with the posts sanctioned by the Finance Department and up-gradation orders shall be issued by the respective Appointing Authorities.

All concerned shall ensure maintenance of proper scale audit registers to facilitate verification of the process by the Internal Audit Wing Health Department and the Director General Audit Punjab.

Compliance of the implementation mechanism of up-gradation process will be submitted to the Health Department within one month by the respective Executive District Officers (Health) in the case of District and by the respective principals of Medical Colleges/Medical Superintendents in the case of Autonomous Institutions and Special Institutions.
