Whether the services of contract employees appointed under the said package can be regularized? lf so, under what rules?
Whether, on expiry of their term, the contract of employees, appointed under the said package, can be extended? lf so, under what rules?
Whether, upon holding in abeyance of the revised package issued vide this Division’s OM.No. 8/10/2013-E-2 dated 20.10.2014 what is the status of benefits to be granted to the widows/children of deceased Government Servants.
Aforesaid queries are clarified as under:
Regularization of services of employees appointed on contract basis are governed by Civil Servants (appointment, Promotion & Transfer) Rules 1973.
Extension in contract appointments is governed by instructions contained in this Division’s O.M No. 8/10/2000-CP-l dated 23.12.200 (copy enclosed)
Revision made to the subject Package vide this Division’s O.M No 8/10/2013-E-2 dated 20.10.2014 has since been held in abeyance, therefore, all cases are to be dealt under this Division’s O.M No 08-10-2013-E-2 dated 13-06-2006 till further orders /instructions.

My father was employed at PTCL (Formerly Pakistan Telegraph & Telephone, TnT), Gateway Exchange, Karachi as an Engineering Supervisor, in BPS-11. He was died in Saudi Arabia KSA while performing his duties on deputation at that time in January 29,1990.
Till date, neither any assistance nor any JOB from Govt.had been provided to our family except normal pension. I want to know about the applicability of “Assistance package for families of govt employees who die while in service” approved by Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Kindly let me know any possibility to avail this opportunity.

Shameless/corrupt govt. Have no money for poor employees but wasting lots of money on building Roads and Buses, but we don’t have roof to live, we were hopeful that according to 2014 assistance package atleast we will be able to build our own home 🙁
If any employee died during service and his wife (Widow) already expired his sons are age of above 27 years and daughter is married are the son or daughter eligible for benfit of lum sum amount and employment on given package .any body please guide

sALAM bRO AND SISTERS I HEARD THAT GOVERNMENT LAUNCHED A NEW PACKAGE IN WHICH RATES WERE HIGH BUT NOT AS HIGH AS AMENDMENT, ONLY FINANCIAL PROBLEM IS REPORTED WHICH GOT REDUCE. NEW PACKAGE SHOULD ANNOUNCE SOON IN WHICH REGULARIZATION IS DONE IN SHA ALLAH.
it is imperative to say that numerous people are in the loop to be affected due to abeyance of PM Pkg for deceased pers. PM is requested to personally look into the matter so as to finish this job and do away with the problems of deceased pers

I appointed in Federal Government in 2012 through Prime Minister Family Assistant Package for the Employees who die in service on 2 years contract basis then granted 1 year extension in my contract period now my 4th year in service but there is no hope from this Government for the Confirmation/Regularization of service. but Cabinet of Establishment Division is in working and waiting for PM’s decision about this case further i want to add here you should at least forward application through proper channel it will definitely reach to PM office for further necessary action.
