Directorate of labour Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued OM on 24-03-2020 in connection with Notification of Public Holidays by Directorate of labour KPK. Detail is as under:
Notification of Public Holidays wef 24-03-2020 to 28-03-2020
In pursuance to the relief, Rehabilitation& Settlement Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Notification No.SO(Estt)PR&SD/3-5/2019 dated 23rd March 2020, followed by Industries, Commerce & Technical Education Department Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Notification No. SO(ADMN)2-6/General/Vol-XVIII/2020 dated 24th March 2020, and in exercise of powers conferred under sub-section (1) of Section 79 of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Factories Act, 2013, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Lahore Department is pleased to declare the period from 24th March to 28th March 2020 (Both Davs Included) as public holidays to be observed by the workers in the Industrial Establishment throughout the province.
The above notification shall not apply to the following manufacturing and distribution units in the province:
- Oil and Ghee Mills
- Flour Mills.
- Bottled Water and Beverages Units.
- Other Food Items producers and packagers.
- Pharmaceutical and allied industrial units.
This relaxation, however, is subject to the condition that the Mill / Unit management will ensure foolproof anti COVID-19 Measures for the workers.
For the inf of teachers, students and parents, KPK Education department has also issued Notification of extension in holidays for schools in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
