HED Notification Regarding Closing Educational Institutions in Punjab

Government of the Punjab, Higher Education Department has issued a Notification on 24-04-2021 in connection with Closing Educational Institutions in Punjab.

 

Closing Educational Institutions in Punjab Province

In continuation of this Department’s notification of even number dated 19.04.2021 and Pursuant to the decisions the Government took in the meeting of National Coordination Committee(NCC) held on 23rd April (2021) following directions the Department hereby issue to all the concerned for strict compliance:

 

  • All Public and Private Colleges in highly positively districts (i.e. beyond 5%)

 Of TT Singh, RY Khan, DG Khan, Bahawalpur, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Khushab, Lodhran, Mandi Bahuddin, Pak Pattan, Sahiwal, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Multan, Okara, Jhang, Khanewal, Kasur, Bahawalnagar, Chakwal & Bhakkar are hereby closed with immediate effect until further orders.

  • The immediate classes which the department earlier allowed in the high positive districts on a staggered basis, they allow to suspended with immediate effect till further orders.
  • Universities may continue academic activities as per notification issued by HEC Islamabad.

 

All concerned quarters shall ensure the compliance/ observance of COVID-19 SOPs issued by the Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department, from time to time. In letter and spirit.

 

Federal Government, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governments have already issued the Notifications for extension holidays and further closure of schools/colleges. KPK Government also issued orders for the closing of schools in the province. Punjab Government school education department also issued the same orders.
