Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Elementary & Secondary Education Department issued a Notification on 19-12-2023 in connection with Winter Holidays 2023 KPK Educational Institutions. The schools in KP will remain closed due to winter vacation 2023 with effect from 23^rd December 2023 to 31^st December 2023. The details are as under:

Winter Vacation / Winter Holidays 2023 KPK Educational Institutions

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Elementary & Secondary Education Department has been pleased to notify the following schedule of winter vacation (Summer and Winter Zones) for the Academic Year 2023-2024 for all the public and Private Educational Institutions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:

1. Summer Zone/ Plain Areas

Winter vacations                23^rd December 2023 to 31^st December 2023 (Both days inclusive)

1. Winter Zones/Hill/Snowy Areas:

Winter Vacations             23^rd December 2023 to 29^th February 2024 (Both days inclusive)

Before this, the Federal Government and Punjab Government announced Winter Vacation 2023 Punjab and Federal schools and colleges. Now KP Government has issued the Notification for Winter Vacation 2023-24 for summer zones and winter zones.

Winter Vacations in KPK

Elementary and Secondary Education Department Government of KPK issues notification regarding winter vacations on 19 December 2023. The government announces different winter vacations for the plane areas and snowy or hilly areas especially.  All the heads and principles of all educational institutions must follow all the instructions of the KPK government. To keep busy all the students will get specific homework or other home assignments to complete in these vacations.  after vacations, they will submit it to the respective teachers.

As previously the government of Punjab and the federal government announced winter vacations. Furthermore, the KPK government also announced the yearly winter vacation 2023. The education department notified us of the upcoming schedule of winter vacations, in 2023. The schedule is for the Summer and Winter zones for the academic years 2023-2024.

KPK Summer Zone Vacations

The vacations approved for the plain areas or the areas of Summer Zones start from 23^rd December 2023. The vacations will end on 31^st December,2023. Both days are included. There are 09 holidays in total. The educational institutions will reopen on 1^st January 2023.

 Winter Zones /Hilly /Snowy Areas KPK

The KPK Government announces the winter vacations for the hilly snowy areas also. The educational institutions remain closed in these areas from 23^rd December 2023 up to 29^th February 2024 (both days are inclusive). There will be no educational, or instructional activity during these vacations. The holidays are for keeping students safe at home in this harsh or snowy season. All staff will remain off-duty too.

The Government of KP has decided the same well in time. The weather in various parts of the province is becoming harsh. In hilly areas, the snow is increasing day by day. In the coming days, the weather may become harder. So well done KPK Government and Education Department.
