Government of the Punjab Finance Department issued a Notification on 10-07-2025 in connection with ARA-2025 Punjab Govt Employees BPS-01 to BPS-22. The employees of Punjab will get this Adhoc Relief Allowance 2025 with effect from 01-07-2025.The details are as follows:

I am directed to state thw Governor of the Pujab has been pleased to sanction an Ad-hoc Relief Allowance – 2025 @ 10% running Basic Pay with effect from 1st July, 2025 and till further orders to all the Civill Servants of the Pujab Government and contract employees employed against civil posts in basic pay Scales on standard terms & Conditions of contract appointment as per details below:
T&Cs for Grant of ARA-2025 to Civil Servants of the Punjab Government
- Be subject to income Tax.
- Be admissible during leave and the entire period of LPR, except during extraordinary leave (without pay).
- Not to be treated as part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of pension/gratuity and recovery of House rent.
- Not be admissible to the civil servants during the tenure of their posting/deputation abroad/
- Be admissible to the civil servants on their repartrication from posting/deputation abroad at the rate and amount which would have been admissible to them had they not been posted abroad.
- The terms “Basic Pay” for the purpose of Adhic Relief Allowance-2025 will also include the amount of the personal pay granted on account of annual increment(s) beyond the maximum of the existing pay scales/
- The above Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2025 shall be accommodated from within the budgetary allocation for the Financial year 2025-26 by the respective departments, and no supplementary grant would be given on this account.
