I am sharing the Unofficial and Tentative Basic Pay Scales Chart 2026. This new chart is based on the statement of various ministers and the Govt employees’ representatives, Mr. Rehman Ali Bajwa. The details are as follows:

Although the Finance Minister did not mention the merging of some adhoc relief allowances in his budget speech 2026-27, however on later stated that they would revise the basic pay scales. There is likely to be a revision of the old Basic Pay Scales 2022, and there is a chance that the government of Pakistan will issue the New Basic Pay Scales 2026. As per the sources, the government will merge the following adhoc relief allowances

Adhoc Relief Allowance 2022 @ 15% of Basic Pay of 2017 Pay Scales
Adhoc Relief Allowance 2015 @ 10% of Basic Pay of 2022 Pay Scales

How much increase in Basic Pay in Percentage?

The basic pay will increase by nearly 20% instead of 25% the, most employees think. The reason for this is that the Adhoc Relief Allowance 2022 was 15% of the basic pay scales of 2017. While the ARA 2025 is 10% of the Revised Pay Scales 2022.

How much increase in Annual Increment

The estimated increase in basic pay and annual increment is 20%.

Status of Adhoc Relief Allowance 2024

There are discussions about the status of Adhoc Relief Allowance 2024 as it is on the running basic pay. The discussions are also that with the increase in Basic Pay, the ARA 2024 will also increase. But as per previous practice, the Government always freezes all remaining ad hoc relief allowances when it issues the New Basic Pay after merging some allowances. However, let’s see what is done with the ARA-2024.
