I am sharing the latest Paternity and Maternity Leave Rules for Federal and Provincial Govt Employees. The employees can also see the Notifications of these rules. The details are as follows:
Paternity and Maternity Leave Rules for Federal
The male employees and female employees of Federal Government can availal the paternity and maternity leaves in three times during their entire service.
Maternity Leave Rules (Federal)
The female employee will have the following maternity leaves:

| 1 | On First Baby Birth | 180 Days ( 6 months) |
| 2 | On Second Baby Birth | 120 Days (4 months) |
| 3 | On Third Baby Birth | 90 Days (3 months) |
| 4 | On Fourth Baby Birth or so on | Leaves will be deducted from Leave Account Balance or EOL (Leave without Pay) |
Paternity Leave Rules for Federal Govt Employees
The male employee will have 30 days paternity leave. He can avail paternity leave on full pay maximum 3 times during his entire service.
If he requires more than 3 times then these leaves will be debited from his leave account of as an Extra Ordinary Leave (Leave without pay).
Maternity Leave Rules Punjab Government Employees
Punjab Government allows 90 days maternity leave for each birth of baby out of leave account balance for the vacational staff. (Employees having summer/winter vacation etc)
For Non-Vacational female staff members there are allowed maximum 3 times. If more times maternity leaves required, these these leaves will be deducted from leave account balance.
Paternity Leave (Punjab)
Paternity leave is granted for 7 days on the birth of baby to the male employee. These leaves are granted maximum 3 times during entire service.
For Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan Employees
For Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan Employees maternity leaves rules are same as Punjab. i.e 90 days maternity leave on each birth of baby.
However they will have no paternity leave as 7 days in Punjab and 30 days in Federal.
