According to Geo News at 14:30 Hrs today on 16 June 2026, the following relief package for the employees and pensioners has been proposed:
- Increase in Salary @ 10% of Basic Geo & Pay 7% Express News and Dunya News 7%
- Increase in Pension for the Pensioners @ 5% Geo & Express News 3.5% & Dunya News 3.5%

What about DRA and Revised Pay Scales 2026
Revised Pay Scales 2026 depend on the Federal Govt approval. If the Federal Government finalizes the Revised Basic Pay Scales 2026, the Punjab Government will also adopt the same Basic Pay Scales. However, the DRA depends on the Punjab Govt whether it grants to the employees or not.
Increase in Conveyance Allowance
As Conveyance Allowance is a basic allowance, the employees of Punjab may also get the CA at the same rates as the Federal Government will announce.
