I shall mention here the Increase in Pay and Allowances GB Government wef 1st July 2020. Gilgit-Baltistan Government has enhanced a number of allowances as well as 15% enhancement of salary for the employees of BPS-01 to BPS-17 and 10% for BPS-17 and above employees. GB Government has also upgraded various posts in the Budget 2020-21 Gilgit Baltistan. The summary is as under:

Upgradation of Various Posts
Gilgit Baltistan Government upgraded 8000 posts in different departments under GB Govt.
GB Government recommended to Federal Government for up-gradation of 10000 more posts. As soon as The GB Government receives the approval, the employees will be upgraded.
Increase in Salaries for GB Govt Employees
GB Government proposes 15% Adhoc Relief Allowance 2020 for the employees of BPS-01 to BPS-16.
The government proposes 10% Adhoc Relief Allowance for the Government employees of BPS-17 and Above.
15% increase in salary for the contingent paid employees proposes GB Government.
GB Government proposes Legislative Allowance, Executive Allowance, Development Allowance, and Audit & Accounts Allowance on the basis of running basic pay.
100% Incentive Allowance for the employees of BPS-01 to BPS-16 working in GB Secretariat
Incentive Allowance to BPS-17 and Above Employees
100% Risk Allowance to Medical Staff with effect from 1st July 2020
Risk Allowance to lower grade employees as seniors already were getting
