The University of the Punjab Schedule for Phase Wise Re-Opening has been issued on 10-09-2020. According to the Notification, the University of the Punjab will be opened in the following three phases:

The three phases to re-open the University of the Punjab are as under:

Phase 1 (15^th September to 25^th October 2020)

. The detailed schedule of Phase-I is as follows:-

2020. Faculty Members and Research Staff of the University will attend their offices from 15^th Sep 2020.
2021. D. Students will do their research / Lab. Work w.e.f. 15^th September 2020 subject to the approval of the respective Supervisor, HoD, and the Dean concerned.
2022. Phil. Students will also be allowed to do their research/ Lab. Work w.e.f. 15^th September 2020 subject to the approval of the Supervisor, HOD and the Dean concerned.
2023. Online classes of all semesters of BS and M.A/M.Sc. (all disciplines) will continue until 30^th October 2020.
2024. Conduct of traditional Exams of 1^st Annual M.A/M.Sc., Part-II, and LLB (all parts of 3-years & 5-years programs)) w.e.f. 26.09,2020.
2025. Conduct of traditional Exams of Pharmacy and Geology (All Professionals) w.e.f. 01.10.2020.
2026. Initiation and completion of Admissions of B.S., and M.A/M.Sc., for Fall 2020 from 10.09.2020
2027. Start of MS, M.Phil. & Ph.D admissions w.e.f. 01^st October 2020.
2028. Opening of Hostels w.e.f. 23.09.2020 for the students of Ph.D. & M.Phil. only.

Phases II (2^nd November to 15^th December 2020)

. The detailed schedule of Phase-II is as follow:-

1. Start of face to face classes of students for 3^rd & 7^th Semesters of BA (Hons.)/ BS (Hons.)
2. Start of face to face classes of the students for M.A/ M.Sc.m 3^rd
3. Online and face to face classes will be offered simultaneously.
4. It will not be mandatory for the students to attend a face to face classes on campus, however, all those students of above mentioned semesters who wish to continue their classes online, they will be granted a 50% fee waiver. The practical / lab work of these students will be deferred and will be allowed to perform experiments and attend the compensatory classes when the university is properly opened.
5. Opening of Hostels for the above-mentioned students only who will attend a face to face classes from 02.11.2020 to 15.12.2020 i.e., students of 3^rd to 7^th Semesters of BA(Hons.)/BS(Hons.) and 3^rd Semester of MA / M.SC.
6. The students of Phase II shall have to vacate the hosted on 15^th December so that next phase Students are accommodated according to the SOPs of the Government for COVID-19.

For the information of the students of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Notification of Opening of Educational Institutions in KPK has also been issued. The schools, colleges, and universities in KP will also re-open in phases.
