Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Higher Education, Archives & Libraries Department has issued a Notification on 11-03-2021 in connection with Notification of Closing Colleges /Universities in Peshawar wef 15th Mar 2021. The details are as under:
Notification of Closing Colleges /Universities (Public & Private) in Peshawar
In view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation and in pursuance of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) decisions dated 10-03-2021, the following instructions are hereby notified for adherence and strict compliance:-
All Colleges/Universities/DAls (Public/private) in District Peshawar shall remain closed w.e.f. 15-03-2021 to 28-03-2021.
The colleges/institutions in other parts of the Province shall continue classes with a 50% staggered approach and in accordance with Notified SOPs to combat the spread of COVID-19.
Management and Teaching staff are allowed to attend their respective institutions as per requirements determined by the Management/Principal.
The aforementioned instructions are subject to be reviewed in consultation with NCOC.
For the information of students, teachers, and parents, Federal Government has announced the spring holidays 2021 and closing of educational institutions with effect from 15th March 2021. In this regard, Punjab School Education Department and Higher Education Department Punjab have issued notifications. In Punjab, only in seven districts, early summer break will start from 15-02-2021.
