Government of the Punjab, Higher Education Department issued a Notification on 12-01-2023 in connection with the University of Gujrat 2023 in Punjab. The details are as under:
University of Gujrat 2023 in Punjab Approval by HEC
No.So(Univ).16-1-2019. Pursuant to sections 3(1),3(6) & 51(i) of the University of Gujrat (Amendment) Act,2022, published in Punjab Gazette on 9.1.2023, It is hereby notified with immediate effect that:-
The University of Gujrat shall be deemed to have been established with its main campus at Gujrat. The status and premises of the Government College, Gujrat, Government College for Women Marghzar, Colony, Gujrat, and Fatima Jinnah College for Women, Gujrat existing immediately before the commencement of the Act shall stand restored.
All properties owned or possessed and all rights and interests held or enjoyed by, all liabilities subsisting against the Government College, Gujrat, Government Degree college for women, Railway Road Gujrat and Fatima Jinnah College for Women, Gujrat, and transferred to the University under the act shall stand transferred back to the said college.
All Matters Relating to Funds, Rights, etc
All funds, propitiation, right, and interests of whatever kind issues, used, enjoyed, possessed, owned or vested in all liabilities subsisting against the Government College, Gujrat, Government Degree college for women Railway Road Gujrat, Government College for Women, Gujrat and Government Fatima Jinnah College for Women, Gujrat existing immediately before the commencement of the Act and transferred to the University shall stand transferred back to the said college.
