Office of the Accountant General Rawalpindi issued a letter on 19-01-2023 in connection with Data for Upgradation of Federal Employees Including Defence Paid. Upgradation Federal Employees BPS-1 to BPS-16 is already under process. In this regard approved summary of the upgradation of Federal employees as well as the time scale or grant of the higher pay scale, the PM Office already issued. The details are as under:
Upgradation of Federal Employees Including Defence Paid (DATA Demand)
Provision of information regarding Strength of Civilians paid from Defence Services estimates serving in MES, Military Farms of Three Services, including FGEI(C/G) and PMAD Employees.
Please find enclosed herewith a copy of Finance Division (Regulations Wing) Islamabad letter F.No.1 (1)Imp/2022-dated: 06-01-203 and it is requested that up-to-date actual working strength (Scale-wise) of Civilian paid form Defence Estimates both Regular and Contract Employees as per attached Proforma-I & II may be submitted to this office up to 23-01-2023 through return fax positively for onward transmission to Finance Division Islamabad. History of the Case
As You know, the Prime Minister has already approved the upgradation and time scale summary for the federal Employees of BPS-01 to BPS-16. As per the summary, Some employees will get two scale up-gradation and someone will get only one scale up-gradation. Some employees will get an upgradation of regular pay scales. BPS-16 employees will get one additional increment.
There were some technical points in the summary that the employees wanted to discuss. The employees paid out of defence estimates were not included in the summary. Now after this data, there are chances the Defence Paid employees. the Government will also include in this upgradation/grant of a higher pay scale.
The clerical staff also want their upgradation as per the pattern of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other provincial Governments. Recently a Notification of Clerical Staff Upgradation IHC and other employees’ upgradation, the Islamabad High Court issued. Other employees also want they will get the same rights as other employees.
