The Objective of PCP
The objective is to strengthen institutional interventions taken up under PMSIP. It also helps to check finance gaps in municipal services infrastructure in some intermediate and secondary cities. It is necessary to improve the municipal service delivery level. The operation is expected to contribute to the overarching goal of ending extreme poverty. Another main goal is to promote prosperity by delivering improved urban infrastructure. Inclusively and in ways that enhance economic growth and development in the participating cities. The larger part of the Operation is financed through the special instrument. This has proved to be an effective mechanism. This helps for managing conditional grants for strengthening institutions and systems for good infrastructure and services.

The project will improve the quality of life of the residents in the intermediate cities of Punjab Province. For making these cities more livable and sustainable it is best to project. This will be achieved by improving urban infrastructure and services, and operations and maintenance capacity for urban service delivery.
