Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Elementary and Secondary Education Department issued a Notification on 26-10-2023 in connection with Amendment Recruitment Rules IT Cadre Post Assistant Director (BPS-17) KP. The new Notification related to the changes in Appointment Promotion and Transfer Rules, Civil Servants KPK.
Amendment Recruitment Rules IT Cadre Post Assistant Director (BPS-17) KP
Elementary and Secondary Education Department, Peshawar is working under the supervision of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The department issued a notification on 25th October 2023.
According to it, the Elementary and Secondary Education Department in Consultation with the establishment department and the finance department Set send some amendments for the basic scale BPS-17.
In pursuance of the provisions contained in sub-rule- 02 of Rule 03 of the KPK Civil Servants’ Appointment, Promotions and Transfer Rules 1989.
As the E&SE department made some amendments. The department made the decision about this after consultation with the establishment and finance department of the province.
Regarding this, the department also issued notification number SO(PE) 4-10/ SRC/ Ministerial Staff 2014 dated 15th June 2015.
The amendments are ready for the post of Assistant Director Information Technology. The pay scale of the post is 17. On the basis of new amendments, the minimum qualification for this post is a Master’s Degree in Computer Science /Information Technology or 04- a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or its equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

These amendments are very necessary in the policy for the further processes and procedures to complete the appointment, promotion, and transfer of the civil servants working under the supervision of the KPK government.
The conditions for this post are:
- 50% by Promotion on the basis of Seniority and Physical Fitness from amongst the holders of the post of Computer Operators Basic Pay Scale 16.
- At least 05- years of Service as such as the candidate who possesses the required qualification for initial recruitment.
- The minimum age for the appointment promotion and transfer policy according to it the minimum age is 22 and the maximum age is 35 for the recruitment or appointment.
