Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department issued a Notification on 14-07-2026 in connection with the Enhancement Prisons Allowance 2026 KPK. The details are as follows:
Enhancement Prisons Allowance 2026 KPK
As per the Notification No.FD(SOSR-IV)/3-21/2026/Prisons Allowance: The Provincial Cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in its Special Cabinet Metting held on 19/06/2026 has been pleased to enhance Prisons Allowance being admissible to the employees of Directorate of Prison, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from One Hundred Percent (100%) of Initial Pay Scales of 2017 to One Jundred Percent (100%) of the Initial Basic pay of Revised Pay Scales of 2022, w.e.f. 1st July, 2026.
Terms and Conditions
- The above allowance will be admissible subject to the following conditions:
- It will be subject to income Tax.
- It will not be counted towards pension, commutation or gratuity.
- iii. It will be admissible during the waiting period for posting; however, the same will not be admissible to employees who are on Extraordinary Leave (EOL) or placed under suspension or on Earned Leave sanctioned for more than 120 days.
- It will be subject to the deduction of Disparity Reduction of 2020 & 2025.
- The officers of other cadres working against the posts shall not be entitled to the Prisons Allowance.
- If employees of the Prisons Department are position side of their cadre and that post carries any other allowance other than regular Allowances, in that eventuality, they shall be entitled to one of the allowances, whichever is more beneficial.
- Officers employed on a pay package other than the National Pay Scale (Contract, market-based Salary scale, etc) are not entitled to this allowance.
- Consequently, with the issuance of this notification, all other notifications & orders in this regard shall stand suspended/ceased to be effective.
