Pay Fixation on Appointment and Promotion When Pay Difference Equal or Less than a Full Increment

Office of the Military Accountant General (MAG) issued a clarification Notification on 29-01-2002 in connection with Pay Fixation on Appointment and Promotion When Pay Difference Equal or Less than a Full Increment. The employee on up-gradation, re-appointment, and promotion will get a premature increment when the difference between the pay of the new pay scale and the previous pay scale is equal to or less than a full increment of the higher pay scale.
