Government of the Punjab, Services and General Administration Department (Regulation wing) has issued Notification No.SOR.III(S&GAD)2-15/87(PI) dated 19-01-2018 in connection with Departmental Promotion Committee Punjab Govt BPS-01 to BPS-16. Detail is as under:
In pursuance of the provisions of Rule of the Punjab Civil Servants (Appointment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1974 and in partial modification of previous notifications issued in this regard, the Governor of the Punjab is pleased to make the following amendments:
- The existing department promotion committee at provincial level for posts in BS-1 to 16 be reconstituted as under:
DEPARTMENT PROMOTION COMMITTEE AT PROVINCIAL LEVEL FOR POSTS IN BS-1 TO 16
The Committee shall consist of:
- Appointing Authority: Chairman
- Two officers of the Department to be nominated by the Administrative Department with the approval of Minister In-change Member
- A woman officers to be nominated by the Administrative Head Member
Department Promotion Committee shall make recommendations for appointment for promotion posts)BS-1-16.
Presence of all the members shall be necessary to validate the proceedings.
The decision of the meeting shall be by majority vote and in case of equality of votes, the Chairman shall have the casting vote.
Minutes of the meeting shall be recorded by the Department/Office concerned and approved/signed by all members of Committee. Further details are available at the copy of the Notification.
