Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Higher Education, Archives and Libraries Department issued a Notification on 06-07-2023 in connection with Promotion Assistant (BPS-16) and SS Stenographers KP to the post of Superintendents (BPS-17). The details are as under:

Promotion Assistant (BPS-16) and SS Stenographers (BPS-16) as Suprintendent (BPS-17)

Departmental Promotion Committee KPK agrees to Promote the Assistant and Sr. Scale Stenographer BPS-16 of Directorate Higher Education KPK. to the post of Superintendent BPS-17.  The meeting of competent authorities was held on 9^th May 2023 in which the Chief Secretary KPK allows the promotion of Assistant and Sr. Scale Stenographer BPS-16 of KPK to the post office superintendent of BPS-17.

Promotion of Assistant and Senior Scale Stenographer

The Departmental Promotion Committee KPK is pleased to promote the 18 Male and 01 female candidates who are serving on the post of Assistant and Senior Scale Stenographer of the Directorate of Higher Education KPK. They are all promoted to the post of superintendents with immediate effect.

Total Employees Eligible for the Promotion

1. Almost 17 male candidates are working on the post of Assistant in the Directorate Higher Education KPK.
2. On the post of Senior Scale Stenographer, only 01 male candidate is providing his services.
3. Only 01- Female candidate is working on the post of Assistant.

These all officials are eligible for the promotion from Basic Pay Scale 16 to Basic Pay Scale 17. As they all fulfill the departmental promotion criteria. They all meet the qualification and completes the required years of service for the promotion.

General Terms and Conditions for the Promotional Criteria

1. According to the Departmental Promotion Committee, the officials will remain on probation for the period of 1 year in terms of Rule 6(2) Of the KPK Civil Servants Act 1973.
2. The above rule is read with 15(1) of KPK Government Servants Appointment Promotion and Transfer Rules 1989.
3. The probation period is Extendable for another year with specific orders of the appointing authority within two months of the expiry of the first year of the probation period under rule 15(2) of rule ibid.
